Matthew 13 Verse 37 To 43 Meaning

Matthew 23 verse 33

Verse 37 He answered, The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. Verse 38 The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one, Verse 39 and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. Verse 40 As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. Verse 41 The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. Verse 42 They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Verse 43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.

Verse 37 To 43 Meaning

Jesus is explaining to his disciples about the parable of the weeds. This parable is about the people on earth and what will happen to all of us on the day of judgment.

God is the one who influences the good (seeds) people on the earth. And these people are his children. The devil is the one who influences the bad (weeds) people on the earth.

Jesus is saying that at the end of this age he is going to send angels to earth and these angels are going to remove and separate all the people who have caused sin and those who do evil.

The angels will take these people and throw them into the fiery furnace which is hell. These people will be crying as they will be in a place where they will be for eternity and will never be able to have a chance to ask for forgiveness or repent of their sins.

It will be too late!

But the true followers of the Lord will then be with him in his kingdom which is in heaven for eternity. Then Jesus sais to his disciples. He who has ears let him hear.

Meaning that every person who can hear needs to hear this message. Why shouldn’t we do the same, and go out and spread the word of God and about his kingdom that is waiting for all the righteous people of this world?

Matthew 13 Verse 23 Meaning

Matthew 23 verse 33

Verse 23 But what was sown on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.

Verse 23 Meaning

This is the type of person we need to be. When someone understands the word of God that person will believe and have faith. That person will understand from within their hearts what the word of God is and what it means.

That person will have the knowledge and understanding to be able to lead other people to salvation. That’s what this verse means.

To produce a crop yielding more than what was sown. To be able to spread the gospel and bring more people to God. God works through his workers who are prepared to work for him.

Defeating the devil and sin and instilling faith and righteousness in people. Bringing people to be saved. Living according to the rules of the bible. To have eternal life.

Why not be this person?

Matthew 13 Verse 22 Meaning

Matthew 23 verse 33

Verse 22 What was sown among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful.

Verse 22 Meaning

This parable is of someone who hears the word of God, but that person is so consumed with making money that their greed and deceitfulness overpowers the giving and compassion that needs to be done if a person is a true Christian.

These types of people have and want more worldly things. They tend to find happiness and fulfillment in these things. So what do they do? They abandon the word of God as this does not fulfill their needs.

As God sais, it is more difficult for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven than a poor man the eye of a needle. One cannot serve God and money at the same time.

What do we want? To be rich and have a fantastic life on earth and risk spending eternity in hell after we die.

Or would we prefer to live without excess, lead other people to the Lord our God to be saved and have a chance at eternal life with the Lord our God?

Which one would you choose?

Matthew 13 Verse 20 To 21 Meaning

Matthew 23 verse 33

Verse 20 What was sown on rocky places is the man who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. Verse 21 But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away.

Verse 20 To 21 Meaning

In these two verses, Jesus is explaining about the person who hears about the word of God. These people are all excited and are ready to learn more. They are enthusiastic, happy and dive into Christianity head over heals.

Unfortunately, as soon as there are doubts or people not agreeing with what they are doing. These people fall away from Christianity. This is because they are not entirely convinced or believing that the word of God can change there life.

Their faith is shallow. They will quickly drop back into there comfort zone of the world. Being a Christian means that a person needs to change their behavior and friends and many other things in their lives. Unfortunately, not many people are willing to do so.

Do you want to be one of these people and enter through the Wide Gate that leads to destruction?

If you are one of these people I urge you to read the bible and you will find eternal life.

Matthew 13 Verse 19 Meaning

Matthew 23 verse 33

Verse 19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path.

Verse 19 Meaning

This is the first part of the parable of the sower. Jesus is explaining to his disciples that when someone first hears about the word of God that person might not understand nor grasp any concept of God’s teachings.

Therefore if that person’s knowledge and understanding are shallow the devil is waiting to regain control of that person. We must remember the devil is waiting around every corner to take over our thoughts and emotions with worldly things to fill our hearts.

That happened to me when I was 18yrs old. It has taken me 32yrs to regain Jesus back into my life. The devil was distracting me for so long, but I destroyed him. The only way to keep Jesus with you is to read the bible for your self. He talks to you through scripture.

The more you read, the more you understand. Then, the more you understand, the more the bible makes sense.
