Matthew 23 verse 33

Matthew 4 Verse 8 To 11 Meaning

Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

Verse 8 To 11 Meaning

This is the 3rd time the Devil is tempting Jesus. Showing Jesus all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. This is exactly what the devil does to us. Showing us physical things that have no substance. Luring us to lives of splendor and fortune. Unfortunately, there is no emotional substance to this stuff which leaves a person lonely and empty inside.

Let me tell you something. I have found the Devil to be a coward, a liar, and an idiot. He is useless, shallow and a no-good piece of junk. I hope you are listening, Mr Devil. I am not scared of you. I am proud to say this.

The Lord has looked after me all my life. I can honestly say that I can look back and show the times the devil veered me away from the faith. I have overcome all of that nonsense and now I am able to see when he is lurking in the bushes.

All Jesus said to him was. Away from me satan. Satan ran away with his tail between his legs. Like a bully does when you confront them. Follow and worship God only as he will put a barrier around you which is unpenetrable by all evil.
