Matthew 23 verse 33

Matthew 5 Verse 14 To 16 Meaning

14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Verse 14 To 16 Meaning

This is what Jesus was telling his disciples after he had taught them about the eight blessings. He is explaining to them what it will be like when they teach the word of God. How people will look up to them for knowledge and enlightenment. The disciples must let themselves be heard amongst the crowds.

They must let their presence be felt among others. People will be able to emotionally feel they are talking about the truth through the spirit of God. People must see what good they have and how it has affected others in a positive way. They must pray and praise God.

Why can’t we do the same? There is no limitation saying that only the disciples must spread and teach the word of God. This blessing is given to us to. It does not matter who we are and where we have come from, we can all spread his word and teach his teachings.

Isn’t that everyone’s main purpose in life. So we can attain eternal life. This is the purpose of my website. I want God to speak to you through my words.
