Matthew 1 verse 20-21

This is how you should pray.

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

When we pray we can start or finish with these words. These words keep confirming to us that what we do on earth is what is done in heaven. Meaning we need to read the bible and understand it for ourselves. The bible is the road map for our lives. We need to consciously follow and practice the rules of the bible in our daily lives. We need to be grateful that we are alive. We must learn to forgive. We need to ask for forgiveness in all that we do wrong as we are sinning every day. Even though we try so hard not to sin, it always seems to creep through somehow. We are asking God for support and guidance, to not be led into temptation by the devil. If we pray these words every night we will lead ourselves in the right direction towards salvation. God will show us the way as we are asking him to help us.
